This year the Redemption Assembly of God- Suame, Kumasi celebrates its 40th birthday. At this point, we are pausing to reflect on the past, survey the present, and plan. The blessing of God, which has been so richly experienced, gives us every reason to rejoice. All growth is due to God's gracious hand. All glory belongs to Him.
The testimonies of revival that brought about the birthing of the Redemption Assembly of God on the 16th March 1986, is thrilling. The stories are not without the recounting of intercessory prayer, sacrificial labor, unforgettable tragedy, and often, persecution. God has honored the faithful proclamation of His Word and the courageous faith of our pioneers.
As a local church, you have blazed the trail as one of our model mega-churches within the Kumasi metropolis. You have planted seven churches and trained six pastors. You are excellent at infrastructural development. With this growth comes the challenge of responsibility and accountability. You must be available to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, for the opportunity has never been greater than today. On the other hand, you must avoid the pitfall of pride of accomplishment that will make you useless.
I, therefore, join the many well-wishers, Pastors, and church members of the Old Tafo District of the Assemblies of God Ghana to congratulate you on this achievement. You have been faithful and dedicated to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ.
